The U.N.O Society NYC

The U.N.O Society is a community-based, student-run organization that deals with issues like mental health, education, inequality and Asian-American representation. There are individual chapters, like this one, but they all belong to The U.N.O Society which is the main organization.

Their mission is to spread awareness about world issues that need to be spoken about more. This work is done in the form of social media outreach, writing articles, interviewing people, etc.

You can become part of their staff by applying here and here. You can apply to work with outreach/communications, writing, the arts, researching, regional outreach and graphic design. If you don’t want to become a staff member, you can become also become a regular member of their cause where you’d just receive updates about their work and have the option to participate in some events.
