Coalition Z

We’re really excited to dedicate our first ever opportunities post to Coalition Z! Even though you can already find some very basic information about them in the directory, we’re using our opportunities post to really explain more of their work, our experiences with them, and why we chose to feature them.

Coalition Z is a youth led organization that really focuses on getting young people more involved in politics. They do this in a lot of ways, from supporting politicians and legislation that aligns with the interests of young people to informing our generation about policy that affects us and our future through social media and events.

They do a variety of things to reach their overall goals of connecting our generation to politics. If you want to get involved, establishing a chapter at your school or turning an existing club into one is a great way to do it. They have very clear instructions on their website which we’ll link below. Even if you don’t want to form or join a chapter, their social media and website has a variety of events, opportunities, and resources to help young people stay politically active.

We thought that this would be a great opportunity to start with because we know right now, a lot of young people, ourselves included, think that change is long overdue. There are lots of ways to create change in your community as a teenager, but when it comes to politics, it can be really hard to get involved if you’re under 18. Coalition Z has a bunch of great initiatives, projects, and strategies to help with that.

If you want to learn more, check out their website below, or take a look at our instagram where we posted a short video featuring a lot of prominent members and chapter leaders explaining what Coalition Z is to them and all of the opportunities it has given them.

As always, feel free to email us with any questions or if you have any opportunities that you want featured!

Until next week,
