Girls Write Now

For this week’s opportunity post we’re excited to feature Girls Write Now, an organization for girls and gender non conforming individuals that focuses on writing! There are two main programs that this amazing group has, and we’re going to share a bit about both right here:

The Writing Works program is the more career oriented one. Participants (called mentees) receive advice and support on a variety of different things and a behind the scenes look at a variety of industries that rely on writers.

The Writing 360 program, which Gabi Galchen talks about from personal experience on our instagram, pairs you with an author and gives you opportunities to develop and showcase your work!

Sadly, both programs are no longer taking applications for the 2020/2021 school year, but they open in May so keep an eye out for that this coming year! This is a great opportunity, and as always, stay tuned to learn about more every Wednesday.
